- Course in Animation Technology
(G-CAT)
G-CAT Swift
Objective: To train the students on the complete tools of animations and take them through a life cycle of animation production. The student will have an Intermediate level of knowledge of 3D animation tools in all areas of Animation production.

Duration: 6 Months (6 days a week, 2 hrs class – 1 hr lab)
Eligibility: 15 years and above. Anyone who wants to get a break in the animation industry as a trainee

Curriculum
Objective: To train the students on fundamentals of design and visualization and take them through a life cycle of animation production including concept, storyboarding, modeling, Texturing, Rigging, Animation, Lighting, compositing editing.
The course is designed to give the students the necessary fundamentals required by an animation professional. The students are taken through a series of design and visualization sessions, including film study, to improve their creative aptitude and understanding of the medium. The students will be given training on drawing and sketching techniques. This is followed by an Intermediate level training of the Life cycle of Animation, taking the students through the various stages of Animation production. This is followed by a final film that the students make which can be used as a portfolio.
Learning outcome: At the end of this term, the student will be able to demonstrate skills of a generalist and have the ability to work in a studio environment as a trainee. The student will show a good level of knowledge on 3D animation tools in all areas of animation production.
Progression: Will be eligible to take up the G-CAT Expert or G-CAT Art & Technology course.
